During the second weekend of Coachella, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, captivated the audience with surprise performances by notable artists such as Dave Grohl and Cynthia Erivo.
The Foo Fighters’ lead vocalist, Grohl, graced the stage with his guitar and delivered a stirring rendition of his band’s anthems, including the energetically performed “The Sky Is a Neighborhood” and a unique arrangement of the beloved classic “Everlong,” blending rock with orchestral sounds.
Erivo also enchanted the audience with her singing, beginning her set with “Brick by Brick,” a heartfelt ballad from her anticipated upcoming album, I Forgive You.
After captivating the crowd with her initial performance, Erivo exuberantly asked, “Hello Coachella, nice to see you. Would you like a little Prince?” The enthusiastic response from the audience prompted her to deliver an exhilarating cover of “Purple Rain” as a grand finale to the LA Phil’s set, which was captured in footage by fans.
