David Warner Arrives in Hyderabad for the Trailer Launch of His Telugu Debut ‘Robinhood’
Australian cricketer David Warner has ventured into the film industry, making his acting debut in India with the upcoming Telugu drama ‘Robinhood’, directed by Venky Kudumula and featuring the popular actor Nithiin. The film is set to premiere on March 28, 2025.
Warner touched down in Hyderabad to participate in a highly anticipated trailer launch and pre-release event for ‘Robinhood’.
Upon his arrival, Warner was greeted enthusiastically by fans, who presented him with a large bouquet and eagerly sought autographs.
Expressing his joy over joining the film industry, Warner shared that he had a wonderful experience during the shooting of the movie.
The film, ‘Robinhood’, showcases Nithiin in the titular role, alongside Warner in a special cameo. Nithiin plays a character who engages in thefts from the wealthy to aid the underprivileged, embodying a modern-day Robin Hood.
Recently, the production company, Mythri Movie Makers, honored Warner’s entry into Indian cinema with a sincere post on social media platforms.
In their message shared on X (formerly Twitter), they remarked, “After making a significant impact on the cricket field, it’s time for him to dazzle on the silver screen. Welcoming the beloved @davidwarner31 to Indian Cinema with #Robinhood. Grand release worldwide on March 28th.”
Warner also took to social media to convey his enthusiasm, stating, “Indian Cinema, here I come. Excited to be a part of #Robinhood. Thoroughly enjoyed shooting for this one. Grand release worldwide on March 28th.”
In addition to Warner and Nithiin, the film boasts an impressive supporting cast, including Sreeleela, Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, Devdatta Nage, Shine Tom Chacko, Aadukalam Naren, and Mime Gopi.
The creative team behind ‘Robinhood’ includes National Award-winning composer G V Prakash Kumar for the music score, with Sai Sriram handling cinematography, Raam Kumar overseeing art direction, and Koti responsible for editing.
With its themes of social justice and community empathy, ‘Robinhood’ aims to resonate with audiences when it hits theaters on March 28, 2025.
