On September 1, Deadlock rolled out a swift patch subsequent to the August 29 update, primarily targeting adjustments to the character Viscous following his recent enhancements.
The patch on August 29 marked a significant moment as it was the first major update since Valve acknowledged the game Deadlock, implementing substantial changes to balance gameplay.
While the latest patch introduces few modifications, the changes warrant attention. Key adjustments include a notable nerf to Infernus’s abilities, and crucial nerfs for Viscous that could impact game dynamics. For those unfamiliar with the earlier updates from August 29, further details can be found here.

Explanation of Playtest Schedule Changes
According to Valve developer Yoshi, a minor adjustment to the playtest schedule coincided with this patch. The upcoming Labor Day will see extended playtesting hours despite falling on a Monday, although no further changes have been announced at present. It’s worth noting that the playtest hours have seen expansions multiple times since Deadlock’s Alpha began, indicating a possible shift toward a more permanent schedule enhancement in the future.
Players looking to participate in matches on the September 2 holiday will benefit from the increased time available for queuing.
