Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh Star in Their First Ad Together Post Parenthood
In an exciting development for fans, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, one of Bollywood’s beloved couples, have reunited on screen for an advertisement following the birth of their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh. This marks their first collaboration in a commercial context since welcoming their child.
The advertisement, promoting a well-known air conditioning brand, showcases the couple’s playful chemistry. The brand humorously highlighted their appearance, saying, “Good looks, good looks & good looks!” which sets the lighthearted tone for the ad.
In a charming sequence, Ranveer jokes about how party guests are more captivated by the air conditioning than by Deepika’s culinary skills or engaging stories. After Deepika expresses her disappointment, Ranveer swiftly wins her over by declaring he purchased the AC especially for her. The advertisement concludes with a heartwarming kiss exchanged between the two.
The couple was last seen together in Rohit Shetty’s action film “Singham Again,” where Deepika portrayed Shakti Shetty, also known as Lady Singham. Ranveer reprised his role as Simmba, further enriching Shetty’s popular cop universe. The movie features a dynamic cast, including stars like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff.
Previously, Deepika and Ranveer have shared the screen in several celebrated films, such as “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” (2013), “Bajirao Mastani” (2015), “Padmaavat” (2018), and “83” (2021). Their on-screen chemistry has consistently resonated with audiences. Following a long-standing relationship, the couple tied the knot in 2018 during a picturesque private ceremony. In September 2024, they welcomed their daughter, who they introduced during the festive Diwali celebrations. The name, Dua Padukone Singh, was shared with a sentimental message, highlighting her significance in their lives with the statement, “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love & gratitude.”
Looking ahead, Ranveer Singh is set to appear in “Dhurandhar,” a film directed by Aditya Dhar that began production in July 2024. This upcoming project, which also stars Akshaye Khanna, promises to depict the intriguing narrative of R&AW, featuring intense action sequences that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
