The upcoming significant update for Destiny 2 will initiate pivotal modifications to a premium feature linked to seasonal events, prior to the much-anticipated Edge of Fate launch.

Starting May 9, this model will be restructured.
Understanding Event Home
Event Home will serve as a newly designed hub for events, launching with the Heavy Metal PvP mode on May 9. Bungie announced in their April 24 This Week at Bungie that all forthcoming events would transition to the Event Home format, incorporating a novel Event Token currency.
Tokens can be amassed exclusively through gameplay by completing set challenges, reflecting how the previous Event Cards functioned. Challenges will be categorized as daily and weekly tasks, with all Tokens redeemable for weapons or resources at a specialized Rewards Shop.

The new Event Home system is set to entirely replace the previous Event Cards and will operate without any associated costs.
Additionally, a new consumable item known as Reroll Chips will be introduced alongside the Heavy Metal Event Home. These Reroll Chips allow players to substitute an unwanted daily challenge for a different one, obtainable via “Rank Tracks” or from the Eververse store for real-world money.
Heavy Metal, which was initially showcased during Bungie’s Heresy Act 3 stream, is a team-based PvP mode where Guardians can engage in combat from either a Fallen Brig or a Drake tank.
