Destiny 2’s flagship PVP event, Trials of Osiris, makes its return, offering players yet another chance to participate in high-stakes competitive gameplay. For those curious about this week’s featured map and weapon selection, a detailed overview is provided below, highlighting everything you need to excel within this challenging mode.

With the launch of The Final Shape expansion, Trials of Osiris comes back, enabling Guardians to face off in pursuit of glory and rewards. This season, players will have the opportunity to acquire two newly reintroduced weapons: Exalted Truth and Keen Thistle, both of which can be collected throughout Episode Heresy.

Significant changes have been implemented in Trials of Osiris with the Heresy Act 1 update, altering the overall structure of the game mode. Here’s what you need to know about the current offerings to ensure you stay competitive.

For the week of April 18, 2025, the highlighted map for Trials of Osiris is Eventide Ruins.

This week, the featured weapon in Trials of Osiris is the Exalted Truth, a Hand Cannon that can be acquired from April 11 to April 22.

Vendor Rewards

Players can earn the following rewards by ranking up with Saint-14, the Trials vendor located in The Tower:

Rank 4 – Upgrade Module (x2)
Rank 7 – Enhancement Prism (x3)
Rank 10 – Trials weapon (varies based on rank resets)
Rank 13 – Upgrade Module (x2)
Rank 16 – Trials weapon (varies based on rank resets)
Reset Rank – Ascendant Shard

In contrast to the previous system, which required players to achieve specific win thresholds for rewards, now players will accumulate Trials Engrams to enhance their reputation with Saint-14.

Once a player has obtained a weapon, they can focus it using a Trials Engram, simplifying the farming process. Players aiming for Adept gear with superior stat rolls can achieve this by going Flawless.

Understanding Passages

The recent update in Episode Heresy has led to a streamlined approach to Passages, simplifying the mechanics while improving effectiveness. The number of available Passages has been reduced from five to two:

The Lighthouse Passage: Reach seven victories to access the Lighthouse, where players no longer face disqualification due to losses, although win streaks yield greater rewards.

The Trials of Osiris Passage: This option matches players based on performance but does not provide access to the Lighthouse, designed as a low-pressure way for newcomers to engage with the Trials experience.

The Trials of Osiris Passage is more suited for casual players, allowing for an easier entry into the Trials environment while still earning rewards.

Conversely, The Lighthouse Passage mirrors the previous system, rewarding skilled players for maintaining win streaks and granting them access to potentially desirable Adept weapons.

Weekly Reset Schedule

Trials of Osiris resets every week on Friday at 9 AM PT / 12 PM EST / 5 PM GMT, running until the next weekly reset.

Before entering the Trials, players should visit The Tower’s hangar to consult with Saint-14, who will provide essential rewards and Trials Passages for the matches ahead.
