Actor Kubbra Sait, celebrated for her performance in series like Sacred Games and Foundation, took center stage as the showstopper for designer Namrata Joshipura’s athleisure line during the Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI 2025 event. Sait showcased two striking outfits, captivating the audience with her presence. Following her runway appearance, she engaged in a candid interview with media representatives, where she shared her enthusiasm for her forthcoming film, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, helmed by renowned director David Dhawan.
During her chat with PTI, Sait expressed her excitement, saying, “I am really excited. Working with David Dhawan, sir, was a legacy project in my life. I get to work with the ‘No 1’ director. It’s pretty awesome.” She reflected on her collaborative experiences with her co-stars, mentioning her close friends Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur, with whom she shared performing experiences during her acting classes.
In a discussion about social media, Sait articulated the importance of cultivating a healthy relationship with these platforms. When asked about the necessity of self-censorship, she remarked, “Social media is here to stay, and one needs to develop a relationship with it.”
She further elaborated on finding joy in creativity, saying, “For starters, I feel you need to have fun, and I’ve had fun when I put those jokes out. The second part of just being a creative person, given the environment that you are in, is that I am not speaking about censorship. I feel it is important that if you say something and mean something, then you stand by it.”
As she delved deeper into her thoughts on courage, Sait pointed out, “Unfortunately, we all are missing a little courage. I am not saying stand by what you are saying in a way that it’s you against the world, but it is you by your own self. That’s two strengths together. I feel there’s a lot of power when you look at it that way. You just have to be you, and I think I am having fun being me, interacting with people.”
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, marketed as a family entertainer, boasts an ensemble cast including Varun Dhawan, Maniesh Paul, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde. With Ramesh Taurani as the producer, the film is anticipated to deliver an engaging and enjoyable cinematic experience, with audiences keen to witness the dynamic between Varun and Pooja on screen.
