Diljit Dosanjh
Diljit Dosanjh has carved a niche for himself as a global icon, blending his talents across music and film. Before embarking on his illustrious journey with the Dil Luminati Tour and notable appearances on platforms like The Tonight Show, as well as his roles in films like Chamkila and Crew, Diljit was navigating the challenging terrain of the entertainment industry. His film debut, The Lion Of Punjab, made its mark in 2021, leading to a recent discussion where co-star Jividha Sharma shared her insights into his journey.
In her conversation with The Lallantop, Jividha noted, “Working with him was an enlightening experience. The difference in him now is remarkable. His growth over the years has developed him into a true intellectual. The accomplishments he has achieved through perseverance are truly admirable, and it seems that divine favor has played a role in his success.”
According to Jividha, “Even with his debut film, he was well-recognized thanks to his successful music career. His songs resonated with many, making the transition into film smooth. In Punjab, it is common to cast singers as main leads, and Diljit certainly exemplifies this trend. His work ethic is incredible; he would film during the day and then perform at night. Often, these performances extended into the early hours, yet he maintained his energy and punctuality for the next day’s shoots.”
Jividha recounted her wonder at his stamina, noting, “I would often ask him how he managed to keep up with such a hectic schedule. It seemed impossible. His dedication undoubtedly contributed to his current position in the industry.” She also shared a memorable moment, saying, “While we were out in Mumbai, we spotted a massive promotional hoarding for a movie. With a mixture of innocence and confidence, Diljit remarked, ‘One day, I will be there on that billboard.’ Fast forward to today, and he has indeed achieved that dream.”
