Legoland Celebrates the Festive Season with a Grand Christmas Tree Display
As the holiday season approaches, Legoland parks in the United States are transforming into winter wonderlands, showcasing intricately designed Christmas trees made entirely from Lego blocks.
At the Legoland California Resort, located in Carlsbad, approximately 30 miles from San Diego, a remarkable 35-foot tree has been constructed using over 364,000 Lego and Duplo bricks, a project that exemplifies creativity and engineering prowess.
The construction of this impressive tree took an astonishing 3,000 hours, drawing on more than a decade of expertise from Lego’s model builders. To mark the occasion of its unveiling, actors Daniella Monet and Lyndsy Fonseca, known for their roles in Hallmark Channel’s holiday movies, participated in the ceremonial lighting of the tree, with Lego Santa making a special appearance to entertain families.
“A lot of consideration was taken for all facets of the model including the building process, transport, installation, operation, and continued maintenance of the tree,” noted Ryan Wood, Legoland’s Model Shop Manager, highlighting the meticulous planning that went into the project, as reported by Travel + Leisure.
Legoland California Resort is not only showcasing this dazzling tree but also enhancing the festive experience for visitors until January 5. Guests can indulge in a variety of holiday-themed food options and enjoy new entertainment offerings. One such attraction is the “Elf Extravaganza!” event, where attendees can participate in elf training at the Elf Training Academy, write letters to Lego Santa, and join in on the fun at the Holly Hype Dance Party.
For those unable to visit Legoland California, other theme parks across the country are also in the spirit of the season. Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Universal Orlando Resort are all hosting special holiday events and promotions, ensuring that festive cheer is abundant. Additionally, Legoland Florida Resort features a similarly grand Lego Christmas tree, promising an equally enchanting experience for guests.
