When asked if they watch Bigg Boss, Vivek and Divyanka together said: “No, we don’t watch it.”
Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya tied the knot on July 8, 2016.
In a recent appearance on Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa’s podcast, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya expressed their disinterest in participating in the reality show Bigg Boss. “No, not Bigg Boss,” Vivek asserted, clearly indicating his aversion to Salman Khan’s controversial program.
When questioned about their viewership of Bigg Boss, both Vivek and Divyanka responded affirmatively: “No, we don’t watch it.”
Divyanka described Bigg Boss as “negative,” sharing that there had been discussions regarding Vivek potentially receiving an offer to join the show. “I suggested we start watching it, but after witnessing the constant fights and drama, we decided it was too negative for us. I can feel that negativity, and I just want to distance myself from it,” she explained.
On the topic of conflicts within the Bigg Boss house, Vivek remarked, “I know I can hold my ground—I’m a Jaat. But why would anyone want to subject themselves to that environment? Just for money? There are countless other avenues for income.” Divyanka humorously chimed in, acknowledging Vivek’s diverse personality, stating, “He’s a fascinating blend—while he carries himself in a classy way, having studied in the UK, there is also that inherent Jaat spirit in him!”
The couple first met on the set of their popular television series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and quickly developed a romantic relationship. They married on July 8, 2016. Divyanka began her television career in 2006 with Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, while Vivek’s debut came in 2013 as the lead in Yeh Hai Aashiqui. They showcased their chemistry on multiple platforms, including winning the dance reality show Nach Baliye 8 in 2017.
On the professional side, Divyanka received widespread acclaim for her role in the web series The Magic of Shiri, directed by Birsa Dasgupta. In this ten-episode series, she played Shiri, a housewife with aspirations to become a magician. The cast featured notable actors such as Jaaved Jaaferi, Namit Das, Darshan Jariwala, Nishank Verma, and Parmeet Sethi. The Magic of Shiri debuted on JioCinema on November 14, 2018.
