DJ Cassidy led the charge in this energetic performance, inviting iconic Bay Area rapper E-40 to start the festivities with his anthem “Tell Me When to Go.” The collaboration continued as E-40 passed the mic to another local legend, Too Short, who energized the crowd with his classic hit “Blow the Whistle.”

One of the night’s highlights came from Saweetie, who garnered a tremendous response from attendees as she joined forces with the Golden State Warriors dance team for her Billboard chart-topper “Tap In.”

Radiating charm in a sparkling Warriors-themed tracksuit, Saweetie modified her performance of “Best Friend” to resonate with the Bay Area context, quipping, “Is that my bestie in The Bay?”

Closing the performance with a bang, the celebrated group En Vogue took the stage dramatically, performing their classic “My Lovin’.” The choreography executed by the Warriors dance team complemented the energetic reunion on the court, wrapping up the spirited halftime festivities.

Adding to the night’s allure, Kevin Hart made history as the first official All-Star emcee, while Raphael Saadiq offered a soulful introduction that echoed through the arena, supported by a live 14-piece band.

In a twist to the All-Star Game format, this year’s competition featured a bracket-style tournament with three teams, culminating in a showdown between the Rising Stars winners.

The entertaining battle saw “Inside The NBA” hosts Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, and Charles Barkley lead their respective teams. In a decisive final match, Shaq’s OGs—anchored by Golden State’s own Steph Curry—defeated Barkley’s Global Stars with a commanding score of 41-25. Jayson Tatum’s standout performance with 15 points, complemented by Curry’s 12 points including a spectacular half-court shot, brought home the title for Shaq’s team.
