The much-anticipated DreamLeague Season 25, featuring the first-ever 16-team format in Dota 2, has kicked off. This event marks the third iteration of the ESL Pro Circuit following DreamLeague Season 24 and ESL One Bangkok from last year. As customary, the tournament boasts a prize pool of $1 million and EPT Points, contributing to the standings for the upcoming Esports World Cup later this year.
For devoted followers of Dota 2, the initial phases of the tournament will showcase gameplay revolving around Patch 7.37e. Although the meta has been evolving somewhat organically without major updates from Valve, there is speculation that Patch 7.38 may make its debut during the course of DreamLeague Season 25.
