Drake seems to be gearing up for a new chapter in his career, yet he’s cautioned fans that this next phase may not resonate with everyone.
On March 10, the Canadian rapper took to Instagram to share a post filled with intrigue, sparking considerable speculation among his followers. He began with, “U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore.”
This potentially references his ongoing rivalry with Kendrick Lamar, which has intensified recently. Notably, Lamar performed his impactful track “Not Like Us” at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, shortly after his significant wins at the Grammys, including for record and song of the year.

Drake had previously indicated that further developments in his feud with Lamar were on the way. Lamar responded to this, remarking, “You know there’s only one opportunity to win a championship. No round twos,” while announcing his halftime show.
In his Instagram update, Drake suggests that the forthcoming material may be unsettling for some, revealing that he has received messages from a mysterious figure. He stated, “I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you’ve been sending me.”
The enigmatic nature of Drake’s message is amplified by the selection of images he posted. Alongside a mix of selfies and live performance footage, he included a clip from the 2017 movie Phantom Thread and a photograph of two Zofran pills. According to the Mayo Clinic, these are used to prevent nausea, commonly associated with chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
While specifics about Drake’s upcoming projects remain vague, this update comes on the heels of his collaborative album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U with PartyNextDoor, released on February 14. Additionally, several tour dates in Australia and New Zealand were postponed due to scheduling conflicts.
