While performing, Drake turned his attention to the audience and noticed a sign that read: “I’m 20 weeks pregnant.” A clip from the concert quickly made its way to social media, capturing the rapper’s astonishment at the announcement.
“Are you really 20 weeks pregnant? Get out of the pit. Get outta there,” he urged the fan, who was later named as Tiana Henderson, directing security to escort her to a VIP area. He further added, “Give her some VIP tickets immediately and like $30,000,” while humorously questioning, “Who the f—brings a baby to a mosh pit?”
Henderson, accompanied by a friend, was moved from the crowded general admission section into a more comfortable VIP spot.
This generous act is part of a series of cash giveaways Drake has conducted during his Anita Max Win Tour, where he has been known to distribute substantial sums of money to fans across Australia. Earlier in Melbourne, he surprised one concertgoer with $25,000 after they displayed a sign related to his son, Adonis, and offered another $20,000 to a fan celebrating their birthday. In Perth, he gave away $40,000 to two fans, one of whom was proudly waving a Canadian flag.
Moreover, just days prior, he made headlines again, distributing $30,000 to a fan in Sydney who held up a sign requesting help to quit their job at McDonald’s. Playfully adopting an Australian accent, Drake amplified the request by saying, “Help us quit Maccas, mate.”
Alongside his generous giveaways, the artist has been promoting his newest project, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, a collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, who has been performing alongside him during this tour.
Since its release on February 14, the album has achieved great commercial success, recording over 56.6 million streams on its first day on Spotify, marking it as the second-highest debut of the year. Additionally, it set a new record as the largest R&B/Soul album by first-day streams globally on Apple Music.
Looking ahead, Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR are scheduled to headline the first day of this year’s Wireless Festival in London in July, with Special Guest Summer Walker. Following that, Drake will perform for the next two days alongside “The Mandem,” which includes Burna Boy and Vybz Kartel.
