Body camera footage showcasing Druski‘s idiosyncratic arrest in October 2024 has emerged online, offering a bizarre glimpse that resembles a comedic sketch, albeit it was a real incident.
During the arrest, he faced challenges fitting into the back of a police vehicle, leading to some unexpected moments.
The footage begins with an Atlanta Police officer explaining the situation to Druski, who was pulled over for allegedly running a stop sign.
The officer acknowledges Druski’s celebrity status while also noting that he is driving with a suspended license, a consequence of missing a court date meant to address the suspension.
As the officer proceeded with the arrest, he faced a dilemma; Druski’s size complicated the situation considerably. The officer found it necessary to combine two pairs of handcuffs to secure Druski’s wrists and encountered difficulty when trying to fit him into the back of the squad car.
The eventual solution was for Druski to lie on his side in the back seat during transport to the police station, alleviating some of the spatial challenges.
A representative for Druski later informed TMZ that, “In October 2024, Mr. Desbordes was briefly detained and promptly released after driving with a suspended license due to two unpaid traffic tickets. This incident was not related to skipping court or a lapse in auto insurance. He has since paid the outstanding citations, and his license has been fully restored.”
