Investor insights from CNBC’s Jim Cramer highlighted key market events to watch in the upcoming week, particularly focusing on earnings reports from notable banks such as Goldman Sachs, as well as companies like Johnson & Johnson and Netflix.

This past week was marked by volatility driven by fluctuating tariff policies and mixed messages from the White House. Cramer emphasized that any additional remarks from President Donald Trump over the weekend could influence market trading patterns.

“This market narrative has so many twists and turns,” Cramer commented. “With the White House constantly releasing information, be it through press conferences or social media, we see significant market shifts almost instantaneously.”

Starting with Monday, Goldman Sachs is expected to release its earnings report. Cramer pointed out that the banking sector has displayed varied performance as a whole. He described Goldman’s business dynamics as “episodic,” yet expressed confidence in the firm’s management, suggesting it is likely to exceed earnings forecasts due in part to recent staff reductions.

On Tuesday, the earnings from Citigroup and Bank of America will be revealed. Cramer predicted Citigroup’s stock would appreciate regardless of its quarterly results, while Bank of America is also projected to report solid earnings, continuing its recent positive trend.

Cramer acknowledged recent complications in the pharmaceuticals industry amid changes in federal leadership and tariff implementation. Johnson & Johnson is scheduled to announce its earnings on Tuesday, and Cramer will be on the lookout for updates concerning the company’s ongoing legal issues. He anticipates that share prices could rise significantly if the company announces positive news related to a new medication. Additionally, he mentioned that he would be closely monitoring J.B. Hunt’s earnings report, which he suspects will not be favorable.

Midweek, both Abbott Laboratories and ASML, a producer of semiconductor equipment, are expected to report earnings. Cramer was optimistic about Abbott’s core businesses but also expected discussions regarding persistent lawsuits affecting its stock price. He highlighted ASML as a pivotal player in its field, expressing concerns that it might fall short of market expectations.

Economic indicators are also on the agenda for Wednesday, with retail sales data anticipated. Based on reports from major retailers like Walmart, Amazon, and Costco, Cramer believes these figures will reflect robust consumer spending.

Thursday is set to be busy with earnings announcements from Taiwan Semiconductor, UnitedHealth, and American Express. Cramer mentioned that the semiconductor company’s results could be indicative of broader industry trends, and many view it as a benchmark for Nvidia. He regards UnitedHealth as a “solid buy,” while he expects American Express to demonstrate a strong performance, though he warned that its stock typically experiences a downturn post-earnings report. Cramer will also pay attention to Blackstone’s results, which will provide insights into the data center industry’s growth.

Lastly, Netflix is slated to report after Thursday’s market close, and Cramer advised investors to tune into the streaming service’s earnings call. He pointed out that the company’s management often highlights the success of its ad-supported subscription model. While the firm has garnered significant interest from Wall Street previously, Cramer noted the potential for ongoing political developments to eclipse Netflix’s announcements this quarter.
