Eartheater Collaborates with Shygirl on New Tracks
In an exciting musical collaboration, Eartheater has joined forces with Shygirl to release two new songs titled “Shark Brain” and “Dolphin.” This marks the inaugural partnership between the two talented artists.
“Shark Brain” was produced alongside Andy Morin from the experimental group Death Grips, while “Dolphin” came to fruition through collaboration with Tony Seltzer and Inef Coupe. Eartheater shared insights about the creative process, mentioning, “I made ‘Shark Brain’ five years ago and played it live enough times that my fans would ask for it. However, I wasn’t sure if I would ever officially release it.” She further noted that the song had even leaked online, leading fans to already be familiar with the lyrics. The inspiration for “Shark Brain” came when she discovered the striking similarities between the anatomy of a hammerhead shark’s brain and the female reproductive system. In an intriguing twist, Eartheater later learned that dolphin fin bones resemble those found in human hands. When she was in the studio with Shygirl, they quickly decided to combine these tracks as a paired release, with Shygirl eagerly contributing her verses.
