On April 21, the former talk show host posted a picturesque photograph of a double rainbow taken by her wife, Portia de Rossi, from their farmhouse in the scenic Cotswolds region.

The 67-year-old DeGeneres expressed her joy in the caption, stating, “3 things that make me happy: My wife, a rainbow, and my wife taking a photograph of a rainbow.” The image captured de Rossi, aged 52, clad in a jacket and joggers, intent on capturing the stunning view that encompasses the rural landscape.

News about DeGeneres and de Rossi’s move to England first surfaced in November 2024. The couple made the decision to relocate after finding their ideal home in the tranquil English countryside. A source close to the couple revealed, “Ellen was in England house hunting in the beginning of October. She ended up finding a house that she loved and purchased it shortly after.”

Since settling into their new surroundings, DeGeneres and de Rossi have been spotted enjoying local establishments, including The Farmer’s Dog, a pub owned by noted television presenter Jeremy Clarkson. Reports indicate that the couple mingled with Clarkson’s partner Lisa Hogan and musician James Blunt, while the music group The Corrs provided entertainment at the venue.

The Cotswolds is well-known as a favored destination for many celebrities seeking a rural retreat. Famous residents include the likes of David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, and former Prime Minister David Cameron. Highgrove House, the residence of King Charles III, is also situated in this picturesque area.

In December, DeGeneres took to Instagram to alleviate concerns regarding potential flooding of their farmhouse during severe weather conditions in England. Marking their 20th anniversary together, she reassured followers, “P.S. for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood.”
