Emiru, a well-known Twitch streamer and cosplayer, has recently opted to eliminate nearly all traces of her association with OTK from her social media profiles, indicating a potential distancing from the group.
OTK, short for One True King, is a streaming organization co-founded in October 2020 by notable figures such as Asmongold, Mizkif, Esfand, Extra Emily, Will Neff, and Emiru herself. Emiru joined OTK in January 2022 and was elevated to co-owner status just a year later. However, recent changes to her social media presence have sparked speculation among her fans regarding her future with the organization.
On February 21, 2025, observant followers noticed that Emiru had wiped nearly all OTK-related references from her accounts on platforms including X (formerly Twitter), Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. While the OTK tag still appears on her accounts on X and Twitch, the deletion of other branding has raised eyebrows.
Shifts Within OTK Prompt Fans to Speculate
This sudden move comes at a time when OTK seems to be undergoing internal changes, as highlighted by member Will Neff in a statement made on February 15. Neff remarked that the organization is “trying to make changes to make it a better org,” and expressed concerns about its environment, stating that he would “have to reevaluate where I stand” if improvements can’t be made.
Neff’s comments have been interpreted by fans as an indication of potential major changes within OTK, especially following the fallout from controversial statements made by Asmongold, another prominent member of the group. Asmongold has recently faced backlash for his politically charged opinions, yet he has made it clear that he has no intention of altering his content. During a February broadcast, he asserted, “I just want to let people know there’s nothing that they can do that’s going to make me stop saying what I’m saying.”
Despite Asmongold’s involvement in the recent controversies, he remains affiliated with OTK after stepping back from leadership in October 2024, following outrage over his remarks regarding the war in Palestine. This decision was noted by fellow streamer Cinna, who suggested that Asmongold’s continued association with the organization was “hurting” its reputation.
As it stands, it remains ambiguous whether OTK’s restructuring is directly linked to Asmongold’s controversies or if Emiru’s distancing signifies an actual departure from the group. Notably, as of the latest updates, no other OTK members have made similar changes to their social media branding.
