Emma Raducanu recently withdrew from Great Britain’s Billie Jean King Cup qualifying matches against the Netherlands and Germany, which the team won successfully. Instead of participating in the Open Capfinances Rouen Metropole that commenced on April 14, she has opted for a dedicated training period.
It has now been announced that Raducanu will compete at the prestigious Madrid Open, set to take place from April 22 to May 4, ahead of the French Open starting on May 25.

Raducanu’s Notable Performance at the Miami Open
Raducanu achieved her best result in a WTA 1000 event, reaching the quarter-finals of the Miami Open in March, after an earlier first-round exit at Indian Wells. In Miami, she began strongly, defeating Japan’s Sayaka Ishii, followed by wins against a series of American players, including eighth seed Emma Navarro, McCartney Kessler, and 17th seed Amanda Anisimova.
Her impressive run concluded in the quarter-finals, where she suffered a three-set defeat against the formidable Jessica Pegula.
