Lukas Kurzmann’s journey in the fitness apparel industry began in his teenage years, setting the stage for the launch of his latest brand, Oner Active, in 2020. Co-founded with well-known fitness influencer Krissy Cela, Oner Active specializes in women’s workout apparel and has achieved remarkable success, generating $100 million in revenue. Kurzmann’s previous experience as a co-founder of Women’s Best, a sportswear and nutrition company he established in 2015, laid a solid foundation for this endeavor. He recognized a gap in the market where female-focused fitness products were limited, stating, “The fitness market was predominantly geared towards men, leaving women without adequate options.” His foresight has proven beneficial as Women’s Best expands its reach with a physical store in Austria and a vibrant Instagram community of 3.4 million followers.

Recognized among the 30 young leaders on the 2025 Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe Retail & Ecommerce list, Kurzmann stands alongside influential figures in the retail sector. This list celebrates dynamic entrepreneurs and executives under 30, and the selection process involved identifying promising candidates by a panel of industry experts, including Thomas Plantenga of Vinted and Laura McGinnis from Balderton Capital.

In the competitive landscape of fashion, Daniel Yuen, 27, and Kieran Riddell-Austin, 29, have emerged as co-founders of Montirex, a Liverpool-based athleticwear brand that has impressively generated over $20 million in revenue without external funding in 2024. The lingerie sector is also thriving, with brands like Saint Sass—founded by Larissa Schmid and Vivien Wysocki—notable for their cheeky tights, and Unndr, a monthly lingerie subscription service set up by Sofia Panwar and Taran Chowdhry, catering to customers across the UK. Additionally, Jordan Jones, 29, gained recognition for his menswear label Mauvais, which has achieved over $11 million in annual sales.

This year’s list showcases a mixture of entrepreneurs focused on home essentials, striving for sustainability and innovation. Jack Rubin, 29, founded Purdy & Figg with his family to offer eco-friendly cleaning solutions, featuring a popular cleaner concentrate and reusable spray bottles that contributed to a remarkable $52 million in revenue. Meanwhile, Lluís Montull Casas, 29, is steering Natulim, which produces detergent sheets and tablet solutions that have infiltrated nearly 2,000 stores in Spain, achieving $17 million in revenue in 2024, reinforcing their commitment to minimizing single-use plastics in cleaning products.

Also noteworthy is the rise of food and beverage startups enhancing distribution to keep up with growing demand. Sandy Tang, 29, leads Love Sum, which offers convenient ready-made dumplings available in retailers like Selfridges and Booths. On the beverage front, Wynter Karo, 29, co-founded Pimentae, a brand spotlighting canned tequila cocktails that are among the best sellers at UK retailers including Waitrose.

In addition to physical goods, a segment of the new wave of entrepreneurs is advancing technological solutions for major retailers. Notable among them are Flore Lestrade, Tristan Francois, and Christian Kotait, all 26 years old, who are developing AI software that allows brands to showcase their clothing without needing traditional models. Their company, Veeton, already secured $2.1 million in venture capital funding. Additionally, Daniel Parekh-Hill is revolutionizing online shopping with Flare, a platform that grants brands the flexibility to manage delivery preferences, ultimately optimizing order fulfillment during peak shopping periods.
