Ethan Klein, the creator behind H3H3Productions, has brought to light troubling claims regarding harassment directed towards his family by supporters of streamers such as Hasan Piker and Denims. Klein asserts that these incidents have escalated to the point where child protective services were contacted, leading to agents visiting his home and interviewing his children. Alarmingly, he also mentions that the FBI has recognized “credible threats” against them.
In a 40-minute video released on March 10, Klein discussed his experiences following his critical content regarding Hasan Piker, known as the “Content Nuke.” While he expected backlash, he did not foresee such severe implications. Klein reported that the FBI, along with armed police units, conducted perimeter checks around his residence and temporarily closed down his street due to these threats. He also claimed that federal agents advised him against opening any mail for fear it could contain explosives. Perhaps most concerning, Klein recounted that CPS received reports alleging his children were “crawling around in dogshit and contracting diseases,” prompting an investigation into his parenting.
In the video, Klein described the CPS agent’s attempts to speak with his children while they were absent and examined their infant’s room and crib. He vowed to confront those he feels are responsible for the harassment, specifically naming streamers like Hasan, Denims, and Bad Empanada. Klein accused Bad Empanada of originally suggesting the “dog feces” narrative that spurred this investigation. He highlighted that Denims, who frequently interacted with Bad Empanada’s streams, failed to discourage her audience from making inappropriate comments about his parenting and the nature of the CPS inquiry.
Klein argued that Denims legitimized Bad Empanada’s claims by not countering the damaging dialogue in her chat. He included video clips where Denims reacts to Bad Empanada asserting that Klein’s children could be unhealthy because of dog waste.
Furthermore, Klein pointed to various online communities, particularly subreddits like h3h3snark and h3h3_productions, as the origin of ongoing harassment targeting his family. Despite submitting numerous complaints alleging copyright infringement and harassment to Reddit, he claimed that the problematic subreddits have not only persisted but have been reinstated multiple times after being taken down. He expressed frustration over moderators allegedly targeting him and even doxxing his office locations.
Klein criticized the apparent inconsistencies across online platforms regarding harassment policies. He noted that subreddits focused on Hasan Piker were shut down rapidly, whereas those that disparaged him remained active. He also conveyed his resentment towards Twitch for allegedly enforcing double standards, allowing Hasan to continue his activities while banning Klein for airing the content he produced.
In his conclusion, Klein expressed a deep sense of despair, stating, “I have never been so blackpilled in my life, I feel like I am trapped and that the world has gone insane.”
Since the release of the Hasan Content Nuke, Klein has faced numerous controversies and accusations, particularly claims suggesting he encourages his audience to target individuals online.
