New Cast Announced for “Euphoria” Season 3

The highly anticipated third season of HBO’s “Euphoria” has officially revealed its cast, introducing an exciting array of new talent. Musicians and performers Rosalía and Marshawn Lynch, alongside actor Kadeem Hardison, will join returning stars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and Dominic Fike, who reprises his role from previous seasons. However, Storm Reid’s absence from the casting announcement has raised eyebrows among fans.

Production for “Euphoria” has resumed after a series of setbacks, primarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with the recent strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and SAG-AFTRA. It has been nearly three years since the second season debuted, leading to speculation about the show’s fate. HBO and Max executive Casey Bloys has repeatedly addressed concerns about a potential cancellation, providing reassurance about the series’ return.

Original cast members including Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow are all expected to return. Joining them are Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry, who have been elevated to series regulars, while Colman Domingo is also set to return as a guest star.

The new season will see Grammy-winning artist Rosalía and Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch alongside a host of new actors, including Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, and Anna Van Patten.

With a planned eight-episode run, Season 3 of “Euphoria” will include a significant time jump of five years, transitioning the characters into a post-high school phase of their lives. The premiere date is currently scheduled for 2026.

In a statement released on the official “Euphoria” Instagram page, newly announced cast members expressed their enthusiasm about participating in the series. Rosalía remarked, “If there’s anything that excites me as much as creating a good melody or writing a great lyric, it’s becoming a better performer every day… ‘Euphoria’ has been my favorite series over the last few years and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside these incredibly talented people.” She emphasized her eagerness to contribute to the creative vision of series creator Sam Levinson.

Marshawn Lynch shared his excitement as well, stating, “I’m hella juiced about the show and getting a chance to work with the people in front and behind the camera. At the end of the day, I’m just thankful for the opportunity.”

“Euphoria,” which has garnered acclaim for its raw and impactful storytelling, is created, written, and directed by Sam Levinson. It is produced in collaboration with A24, with returning crew members including Julio C. Perez IV, Marcell Rév, Doniella Davy, Ryan Heffington, and Kim Kimble, along with new additions Colleen Atwood, Natasha Newman-Thomas, and François Audouy.
