EVA Air is set to introduce a new long-haul route connecting Texas to Asia. This addition will expand EVA Air’s presence to nine gateways in North America. The new flights will commence in October, offering travelers easy access to a city celebrated for its natural beauty and street food.
This autumn, travelers will have a fresh option to reach Asia with a direct flight launching to Taiwan.
EVA Air has formally announced the initiation of a direct flight from Texas to Taipei, scheduled to begin on October 3. This new service will operate three times per week, transporting passengers from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE).
“The launch of this direct flight to Dallas uniquely positions us as the sole airline in Asia to offer two routes into Texas,” stated EVA Air president Clay Sun in a recent release to Travel + Leisure. “Considering that Dallas Fort Worth International Airport ranks as the third busiest globally in terms of passenger traffic and serves as a pivotal hub for connections across the U.S., Central and South America, this new service will significantly enhance convenience for our customers.”
With the inclusion of DFW in its network, EVA Air will now offer flights from nine major locations in North America. In addition to Dallas, flights originate from cities such as Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver.
The airline plans to deploy its Boeing 777-300ER for this route, which features three distinct seating classes: Royal Laurel business class, premium economy, and economy.
Notably, Taipei has recently been recognized as the best city for solo travelers and was named the happiest nation in East Asia according to Gallup’s World Happiness Report 2025. The city is renowned for its diverse culinary scene, encompassing a lively street food culture, breathtaking national parks, and rich historical landmarks.
