Eve Hewson in Talks for Spielberg’s Upcoming Film
Actress Eve Hewson is reportedly in preliminary discussions to join an untitled event film directed by the renowned Steven Spielberg, according to sources at TheWrap. This potential collaboration marks a reunion, as Hewson previously appeared in Spielberg’s critically acclaimed “Bridge of Spies,” which won an Academy Award.
The film, backed by Universal Pictures, is slated for release on May 16, 2026. Hewson has been gaining attention recently for her roles in prominent projects. She starred alongside Nicole Kidman and Dakota Fanning in the Netflix limited series “The Perfect Couple” and is set to reprise her role in Season 2 of “Bad Sisters” on Apple TV+ later this November. In addition to her acting credentials, she is recognized as the daughter of U2’s lead vocalist, Bono.
The screenplay for the untitled film is crafted from a story by Spielberg, with David Koepp, a longtime collaborator of the director, handling the script. Koepp’s impressive portfolio includes writing for iconic films such as “Jurassic Park,” “War of the Worlds,” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”
Apart from this Spielberg project, Hewson will also be featured in the upcoming Formula One comedy “Downforce,” which will premiere on Hulu. Last year, she received praise for her role in John Carney’s musical comedy “Flora and Son,” which was picked up by Apple. Her diverse filmography also includes roles in Steven Soderbergh’s “The Nick,” Nicole Holofcener’s “Enough Said,” and Paola Sorrentino’s “This Must Be the Place.”
Production duties for the Spielberg film will be handled by Kriszti Macosko Krieger.
Eve Hewson is represented by a formidable team including WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Narrative, and Sloane Offer Weber Dern.
