Sebastian Stan Unveils New Look at “Thunderbolts” Premiere
At the Los Angeles premiere of “Thunderbolts,” Sebastian Stan debuted a freshly shaved head while engaging in a lively conversation with “Extra’s” Terri Seymour.
Stan humorously remarked, “Had to purge a lot since the last time I saw you,” and added, “It’s also, like, right now, you feel a cool breeze on the back of your neck. It’s not too bad.”
The actor explained that his new hairstyle was for his recently completed film “Fjord,” which he filmed in Norway.
When asked about his girlfriend Annabelle Wallis’s reaction to the drastic change, he quipped, “She’s seen a lot worse, don’t worry.”
Reflecting on reprising his role as Bucky Barnes, Stan expressed, “I’m really lucky in the sense that I got to play a character that was very relatable. He’s not your typical hero or villain, constantly navigating the gray areas of his identity while coming to terms with his faults and flaws.”
He emphasized that Bucky’s journey resonates with the ensemble cast of “Thunderbolts,” asserting, “I think that’s what people will love about the movie—these characters feel much more real and down-to-earth compared to other heroes they’ve encountered.”
Stan further described the film as “very scrappy and darkly funny, but it also has a lot of heart.”
Looking ahead, he mentioned that filming for “Avengers: Doomsday” has just commenced, adding, “I think I’m hearing maybe at some point in May I’ll be going over there.”
Excitement for Collaboration
Stan also expressed his enthusiasm about working alongside Robert Downey Jr. in the upcoming film, stating, “I just think he’s one of our greatest actors… Watching him consistently reinvent himself and his characters is quite fascinating. I’m excited to see what he brings to this project.”
“Thunderbolts” is set to hit theaters on May 2.
