Family Guy to Spoof Hulu Originals in Upcoming Episode
This Sunday, April 27, Family Guy will air a new anthology parody episode titled “A Real Who’s Hulu.” Staying true to its tradition, the episode will creatively place its beloved characters into scenarios inspired by Hulu’s notable originals: Only Murders in the Building, The Dropout, and The Bear.
An exclusive sneak peek reveals a glimpse into Family Guy’s rendition of The Bear, featuring Peter Griffin stepping into the role of Carmy, originally portrayed by Jeremy Allen White. In this scene, Chris, dressed as Cousin Richie, expresses his displeasure: “Well look who’s back in town.” After correcting Peter about his new responsibilities regarding the family restaurant and the circumstances surrounding its inheritance, Peter declares, “I can finally fulfill my dream of turning this place into a Johnny Rockets and/or the fancy restaurant from Ratatouille.”
The comedic twist continues as Peter engages in kitchen duties, remarking, “You can tell I’m good at chefing because of all the quick edits and loud music.” Meanwhile, Cleveland takes on Marcus’s role, and Lois appears as a somewhat oblivious version of Natalie.
The episode will also feature a parody of The Dropout, with Lois stepping into Amanda Seyfried’s Emmy-winning shoes as Elizabeth Holmes. In another subplot, Meg, Brian, and Stewie will take on the roles of Mabel Mora, Charles-Haden Savage, and Oliver Putnam, akin to characters from Only Murders in the Building.
This upcoming parody joins a rich legacy of three-part pop culture spoofs that Family Guy has delivered over the years. Beyond its famous Star Wars specials, the series has reimagined literary classics such as The Great Gatsby and Of Mice and Men, explored the styles of renowned directors like Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson, and even tackled legendary films and stories from diverse genres, including adaptations of Stephen King’s works and fairy tales.
Don’t miss Family Guy, airing Sundays at 8:30/7:30c on Fox.
