Exciting Changes at LIV and LIV Beach in Fontainebleau Las Vegas
LIV and LIV Beach, both prominent nightlife and daytime entertainment venues at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, have recently undergone a significant renovation, merging into a comprehensive indoor-outdoor venue. This transformation expands LIV’s offerings to over 80,000 square feet, just two years after its debut.
David Grutman, the concept’s founder and CEO of Groot Hospitality, expressed the necessity for expansion following an overwhelming inaugural show with DJ John Summit, where over 1,000 potential guests were turned away. Reacting to the high demand, the decision to merge day and night operations aimed to create a seamless entertainment experience. The previously separate areas are now integrated, fostering a vibrant and immersive atmosphere akin to a festival.
This renovation, which reportedly cost in the eight-figure range, introduces two distinct entrances, enhancing the venue’s appeal and functionality. General admission attendees will access through the second floor, while VIP guests with reservations will enjoy a dedicated premium entrance at the pool deck level, evoking a stadium-like feel rather than a traditional amphitheater setup.
The redesigned space features improved sightlines toward the DJ booth, an increase in greenery, and an innovative mixology program boasting 15 exclusive specialty cocktails. Inside the LIV nightclub, alterations include a lower stage and an expanded dance floor, which Grutman commented “puts everyone in the action.” Additionally, a new backstage ticketing option, GA+, allows guests unique access to a private bar area, marking a first for Las Vegas nightlife.
On the outdoor side at LIV Beach, the venue has expanded its table offerings by 33—each equipped with private safes and a specially curated menu from Groot Hospitality. For guests opting for the luxurious cabanas or bungalows, the experience is elevated with high-end sushi and premium meat options from Grutman’s acclaimed restaurants, Komodo and Papi Steak.
The expanded dual-space design allows for overflow seating within the nightclub, permitting guests to take in outdoor performances in a comfortable, climate-controlled setting. As the evening progresses, clubgoers are also invited to explore LIV Beach, which will host DJ sets and simulcast the evening’s main headliners. The current entertainment lineup at LIV features renowned DJs including Tiësto, Metro Boomin, Dom Dolla, and David Guetta.
LIV originally launched in late 2023, positioned as a fresh counterpart to its illustrious Miami sibling established 15 years prior. Grutman collaborated with Jeff Soffer, the chairman and CEO of Fontainebleau Development, to curate the resort’s entertainment district, which features successful outposts of Grutman’s celebrated venues from Miami, including Papi Steak, Komodo, the LIV nightclub, and the newly introduced LIV Beach dayclub.
