The inception of this meme can be traced back to December 31, 2024, when Instagram user known as luv.rezki, or Rezki, uploaded a video of a voice memo he had sent to a friend called tricky.
In the recording, Rezki humorously admonishes tricky for his “blushing” reaction towards a woman, consistently referring to him as “twin.” The audio concludes with a catchy sample from BubbaGotBeatz’s ‘Ten Toes.’

The meme saw a significant rise in popularity in March 2025, especially on TikTok. Users began to produce various reenactments and edits based on the original voice message. Notably, on March 1, user exoticsmhv2 shared a captivating reenactment that reached over 6.5 million views and more than 1.2 million likes.
The very next day, creator bratedits_13 posted a transcription edit of the message, which attracted over 4.8 million views and 853,000 likes.
Following these initial successes, creativity flourished as TikTok users shared their interpretations. For instance, on March 3, mrcheesepocketedition produced a Minecraft-themed version of the message that garnered over 1.9 million views and 337,000 likes.
