Formula 1 Celebrates 75 Years with Exciting Announcements and Merchandise
The Formula 1 World Championship marks a significant milestone as it commemorates its 75th anniversary this season. Since its inaugural race at Silverstone in 1950, the series has evolved immensely. The celebrations are set to enhance the fan experience, notably with the launch of an exclusive apparel line in collaboration with Puma.
A highlight of the celebrations was the F1 75 show, which took place at the O2 in London this past February. This event brought together all ten teams for a groundbreaking live stream that celebrated the rich history of the sport and presented future race liveries. It was a remarkable spectacle, attracting nearly 7.5 million viewers worldwide.
The honor of the anniversary also extended to the Autosport International show, where the remarkable contributions of distinguished drivers, engineers, and vehicles were showcased. Attendees were treated to a breathtaking display featuring classic race cars alongside Puma’s iconic race suits from various eras.
This summer, the Goodwood Festival of Speed will feature over 80 noteworthy F1 cars, while in August, the Silverstone Festival’s ‘Champions Collection’ will display the cars driven by every one of the 34 World Champion drivers.
Looking to the future, Formula 1 has initiated a time capsule project that aims to capture significant memorabilia, messages, and artifacts from the 2025 season, intending to unveil them in 2050 as part of its centenary celebrations.

Among the memorabilia slated for the time capsule is expected to be a piece from Puma’s innovative F1 range, designed to highlight this historic anniversary and honor 75 years of competitive racing. This collection features a variety of items, from woven race suit jackets and pants to stylish hoodies and t-shirts, all paying tribute to both the legacy of Formula 1 and the vibrant spirit of motorsport.
The collection prominently features the legendary F1 logo, alongside the famous winner’s wreath icon, and stylish mid-century motorsport silhouettes, creating a distinct aesthetic that resonates with both heritage and modernity.

Puma has also infused elements of the anniversary into some of its classic shoe models. The iconic Inhale and Suede XL silhouettes have been reimagined with unique F1 details, including a bold F1 logo prominently displayed on the heel. The color palette spans vibrant shades such as azure, purple, yellow, and red, reflecting the thrilling energy that the sport embodies, alongside a selection of more muted greys and blues with metallic finishes for a contemporary touch.
