CASE UPDATE: On April 11, 2025, a jury found Monica Sementilli, 53, guilty of murder and conspiracy for orchestrating the murder of her spouse, Fabio Sementilli, with aggravating circumstances of financial gain and premeditated killing.
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Fabio Sementilli, a prominent hairstylist, was discovered deceased on the back patio of his Woodland Hills home on a Monday afternoon, as reported by CBS Los Angeles.
According to law enforcement, the 49-year-old stylist was found by his wife and daughter at approximately 5 p.m. He had sustained multiple stab wounds to his face, neck, and upper body.
Authorities believe that two intruders entered Sementilli’s residence and subsequently fled in his black 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera, which displayed paper license plates.
Sementilli served as the Vice President of Education for Wella, a prestigious German hair care brand. Known affectionately as “big daddy,” he was deeply committed to mentoring his peers in the hairstyling profession.
The Wella Education team expressed their condolences on social media, stating: “Our hearts are broken. He will be sorely missed.”
Industry tributes continued, with Eden Sassoon—daughter of renowned hairstylist Vidal Sassoon and a reality TV personality on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills—reflecting on Sementilli’s impact. “He truly cared and made a difference,” Sassoon remarked during an interview with CBS Los Angeles. “I don’t know how long it will take for (Sementilli’s family’s) lives to fill the void he has left. He was a unique presence that brought smiles whenever his name was mentioned.”
