Farhan Akhtar Confirms Don 3 with Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani, Reveals Production Timeline and Jee Le Zaraa Update
Farhan Akhtar is poised for a thrilling year ahead, with several projects set to take off. Fans of his recent endeavors, particularly the upcoming films Don 3 and Jee Le Zaraa, have been keen for news. While earlier reports hinted at potential delays for these eagerly awaited projects, Farhan has now offered definitive updates, putting these uncertainties to rest.
In a conversation with India Today, Farhan assured fans that the production of Don 3, featuring Ranveer Singh, remains firmly on track. Addressing earlier claims of evasive comments regarding the film’s status, he stated, “I am not dodging any questions. Don 3 is starting this year, and 120 Bahadur will release at the end of the year.” This declaration effectively quells the speculation surrounding the film’s future.
Notably, alongside Ranveer Singh, Kiara Advani has been confirmed as part of the cast for this high-octane thriller, with reports indicating that Vikrant Massey is also aboard as the villain. Although the film was initially expected to enter production in August or September 2024, delays had prompted concerns about its progress. However, a representative from Farhan’s production team had previously reassured the press that “the timelines of Don 3 remain unchanged. Any news of postponement is not true.”
Farhan also took the opportunity to discuss the status of his long-anticipated road-trip film, Jee Le Zaraa, starring Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif. When questioned about this project, he remarked, “Many dates have to be coordinated. That’s perhaps for another time,” suggesting that while the film is still planned, logistical issues may defer its production timeline.
In addition to these high-profile projects, Farhan’s production slate includes other significant releases. His web series Dabba Cartel and the film Superboys of Malegaon are both slated to debut on February 28, 2025. While Superboys of Malegaon is set to be screened in theaters, Dabba Cartel, featuring Shabana Azmi, will be available for streaming on Netflix.
As an actor, Farhan is also gearing up for his role in the biographical drama 120 Bahadur, which is expected to hit screens later this year.
