A woman in Florida experienced a rather unusual pizza delivery when an officer helped her after discovering an eight-foot alligator lurking beneath her vehicle.

The incident unfolded in a 55+ community in Bradenton, where the local police department shared footage of Officer Tolson responding to a call about the sizeable reptile. In a post on social media, the police department humorously noted, “Pizza…with a side of gator?” describing how Officer Tolson intervened to assist both the frightened pizza delivery driver and the customer awaiting their meal, stating, “All in a day’s work!”

In the body camera video shared by the police, the officer can be heard cautioning the delivery driver to halt her approach due to the presence of the large alligator. “I’m a little scared,” she admitted as Officer Tolson suggested she navigate to the back of the house instead.

Addressing the Situation with Caution

Attempting to ease her fears, Tolson reassured the driver that as long as the alligator remained under the car, she could safely retrieve the pizza. However, the situation escalated when the customer inside the house was advised by a neighbor not to step outside due to the alligator.

Despite the warnings, the customer eventually opened her front door, only to be met with an urgent admonition from Tolson to stay inside. Startled, she exclaimed, “Oh my God! My heavens! There’s an alligator under my car!”

Delivery with a Twist

Officer Tolson then instructed the woman to return indoors while fielding her questions about her pizza. “Where’s my pizza?” she asked, to which he responded he would bring it to the back door instead.

Upon meeting at the back door, the woman exchanged cash for the pizza, expressing her disbelief at the turn of events. “You’re a policeman? They called you?” she responded, surprised by the unexpected assistance.
