Michelin is set to announce its selected culinary highlights from Quebec next month, with the release slated for May 15. The renowned restaurant guide has opted for a press release format this year, foregoing the traditional ceremony that typically features local chefs and celebratory speeches from featured restaurants.
Last year, Michelin revealed its intentions to explore the extensive culinary landscape of Quebec as part of its broader effort to identify outstanding dining experiences in the area. Quebec joins Toronto and Vancouver as one of only three Michelin Guide destinations in Canada.
In its evaluations, Michelin will adhere to its established criteria, which focus on the quality of food, the mastery of culinary techniques, and consistency across the dining experience. Among the few Michelin-starred restaurants in Canada are Sushi Masaki Saito in Toronto, noted for having two stars, and Barbara in Vancouver.
