Lady Gaga is experiencing a resurgence on Australia’s music charts this week, as her newest album Mayhem makes a significant leap back into the ARIA Top 10. This increase is largely attributed to her highly publicized performance at the Coachella Festival and the recent announcement of her upcoming Australian stadium tour.

The album Mayhem has climbed from No. 14 to No. 6 on the ARIA Albums Chart. This rise is fueled by the excitement surrounding Gaga’s dynamic set at Coachella, alongside a surge in interest linked to her Australian tour dates. The album initially debuted at No. 1 last month and now marks its fourth consecutive week among the chart’s top ranks.
Just earlier this month, Gaga unveiled plans for her return to Australia with The Mayhem Ball, her first tour of the country in over ten years and her first stadium performances there. Following quick sellouts in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, she has added additional dates in Melbourne and Sydney due to high demand. The tour is set to commence on December 5 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne and conclude on December 13 at Accor Stadium in Sydney.
The promotion surrounding the tour, along with the buzz from Gaga’s Coachella appearance and activity on social media, has rekindled interest in Mayhem. The album features the global No. 1 hit “Die With a Smile,” a collaboration with Bruno Mars, which has enjoyed significant success, including a 15-week run at the top of the Billboard Global 200.
Gaga’s return to the ARIA chart coincides with a stellar week for Australian music acts: hip-hop trio Bliss n Eso debuted at No. 1 with their album The Moon (The Light Side), marking their fourth chart-topping release, while Australian Idol winner Marshall Hamburger enters at No. 50 with The Idol Collection. This marks a noteworthy achievement, as it is the first time since 2009 that an Idol winner has entered the Top 50 upon season finale.
On the ARIA Singles Chart, Alex Warren secures his fourth consecutive week at No. 1 with his viral hit “Ordinary.” Meanwhile, Gaga and Mars’ track “Die With a Smile” has rebounded into the Top 5, moving up from No. 9 to No. 4.
With Mayhem reestablished in the Top 10 and the demand for her stadium shows continuing to grow, Gaga’s momentum in Australia shows no signs of slowing, highlighted by the additional tour date announced for Sydney earlier this week.
