Google Expands Access to Gemini Live Features for All Android Users

Earlier this month, Google introduced a new feature, Gemini Live, which includes camera and screen sharing capabilities. Initially, this offering was limited to users of the Gemini Advanced tier on Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25 devices. However, due to positive feedback on its functionality, Google has opted to broaden access.

Effective immediately, Gemini Live will now be available to all Android users with the Gemini app, including those using the free version. This expansion signifies Google’s commitment to enhancing user experience and feedback responsiveness.

The feedback from users has been overwhelmingly positive regarding the Gemini Live feature. As a result, we are excited to extend this opportunity to a wider audience.

Beginning today and continuing over the upcoming weeks, users can expect to receive access to Gemini Live. For more details, check the official Twitter account for updates: @Android.

As is standard with Google software updates, the rollout will take place gradually. Users may not see these features immediately, but they can look forward to accessing them soon. To utilize Gemini Live, simply open the Gemini app, select the Gemini Live icon, and tap on either the camera or screen share options.

This interactive feature allows users to engage in live conversations with Gemini about what is being shown on their camera or screen. One of the standout aspects of Gemini Live is its conversational fluidity, enabling users to interrupt the AI seamlessly during discussions.

With this update, Google aims to further integrate AI capabilities into everyday tasks, enhancing the user experience and providing more efficient and engaging interactions through the Gemini app.
