GloRilla and Kehlani Spread Holiday Cheer with “Xmas Time”
In an exciting celebration of the holiday season, GloRilla and Kehlani have come together for a new festive single titled “Xmas Time.” The track aims to capture the essence of Christmas and all the warmth it brings.
With heartfelt lyrics that resonate with listeners, the duo sings, “I remember those days when the nights got cold / Leaning on each other made our hearts grow more / Nothing compares to the love at Christmas time.” Their collaboration highlights the significance of love and companionship during the holidays.
The announcement for “Xmas Time” was shared by GloRilla on Instagram, where she expressed her excitement about the release with a playful message: “Good luck with yo Mrs dis as merry as I’m getting.” The accompanying music video brings the festive spirit to life, adorned with snow, Christmas trees, and microphones decorated with mistletoe.
This new release follows GloRilla’s successful debut album, Glorious, launched just two months prior. Earlier in the year, she made waves with standout tracks like “Yeah Glo!” and “Wanna Be,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, which were part of her EP Ehhthang Ehhthang. She also shared the summer anthem “TGIF” during her tour with Megan Thee Stallion.
Recently, GloRilla participated in Rolling Stone‘s Musicians on Musicians series alongside Busta Rhymes. In the interview, she discussed the challenges of adapting to her rapid rise in fame, stating, “I did finally get used to it, but the first year and a half I was like, ‘This can’t be happening for real.’” She emphasized her desire to maintain her success, saying, “I don’t want to just live in a moment. I want to keep it going.”
On the other hand, Kehlani has had a busy year as well, with the release of her album Crash, which marks her fourth studio LP and her first since 2022’s Blue Water Road. She recently concluded a substantial North American tour in support of the album, wrapping up on November 2 in San Francisco.
