Gerry Turner Introduces New Relationship Following Reality TV Journey
Gerry Turner has exciting news to share as he embarks on a new romantic chapter!
The former star of “The Golden Bachelor” recently spoke to TMZ about his blossoming relationship with a woman named Lana, whom he met through Facebook. Lana initiated contact by sending him a friend request, which Gerry accepted after noticing their numerous mutual acquaintances.
Although he initially overlooked their first interaction, Gerry took interest when Lana reached out again and mentioned her Indiana roots—just a short distance from his own hometown.
Details of the New Relationship
At 73, Gerry met Lana—who is in her mid-fifties—during a get-together at a restaurant in March, and since then, their connection has only deepened.
Both have introduced each other to their families; Gerry has met Lana’s parents and some of her children, while she has met his children and friends.
Photos showcasing moments of their time together were shared by Gerry with TMZ, highlighting their growing bond. More details about their encounters can be found here!
Excited about his new relationship, Gerry shared the news on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast last week. He expressed a cautious but hopeful outlook, saying, “I don’t wanna say too much and jinx it. I’m trying to respectfully get to a point where there’s an acceptable amount of time from my divorce. Maybe that’s an old-fashioned thought, but… I kind of want to slow roll this.”
Gerry further elaborated on the compatibility between their families, mentioning, “It’s been fun. It’s been a very enjoyable encounter.” Lana’s daughters connect well with his daughters, adding to the joy of their relationship.
Previously, Gerry had formed a marriage with Theresa Nist during “The Golden Bachelor,” but their union ended after just three months. Before announcing his new relationship publicly, he made sure to inform Theresa about it.
Back in December, Gerry revealed to People magazine that his diagnosis of Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia—a slow-growing bone marrow cancer—played a significant role in the breakup with Theresa. This health challenge prompted him to reassess his priorities regarding family and relationships.
Gerry reflected on this period, saying, “I wanted my life to continue on as normal as possible… spending time with my family became more significant.” The struggle with his health led him to put more emphasis on his familial relationships, shifting his focus away from the romantic relationship with Theresa.
