Google has initiated a replacement initiative for Pixel 7a devices experiencing battery issues, providing users with the opportunity to have their problematic units replaced at no cost in seven designated regions.

Indicators that may qualify a device for free replacement include evident battery swelling, separation of the back cover, or abnormal battery performance, such as rapid discharge even with minimal usage.

Eligible Pixel 7a users can receive one complimentary battery replacement, applicable solely to units still under warranty.

As an alternative, users may choose to return their phones for a compensation of $450, adjusted to the local currency equivalent.

For those whose devices are no longer covered by warranty, options include a one-time payment equivalent to $200 or a $300 discount applicable to hardware purchases from the Google Store.

This replacement offer is not available in the United States or India, where different repair options, both walk-in and mail-in, are provided. Users in these countries will also not qualify for the mentioned discounts. The terms of the replacement program are only applicable in Canada, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
