In the latest episode of “The Bachelor,” the focus turned to hometown visits, where Grant Ellis reflected on the insights gained from meeting the friends and families of his final four contestants. He described the experience as essential in determining the direction of his relationships. “Hometowns is a great way to figure out what you need, and it’s a great right step to progressing,” Ellis stated, emphasizing that he found clarity during these personal visits.
Traveling across the U.S. to connect with the families of Litia Garr, Dina Lupancu, Zoe McGrady, and Juliana Pasquarosa in Wyoming, Chicago, New York, and Massachusetts, respectively, Ellis ultimately decided to eliminate Dina from the competition, leaving Litia, Zoe, and Juliana as his remaining options.
Despite Dina’s parents opting out of the hometown meetings, Ellis maintained that their absence did not influence his decision to move forward without her, noting that not everyone comes from an ideal family background. “Not everybody has the perfect family and the perfect family setting,” he remarked.
Following the hometown dates, Ellis awarded his third rose to Zoe McGrady after they participated in a bridal-themed photoshoot, where they portrayed an engaged couple. Though Zoe had not experienced a one-on-one date prior to this, Ellis expressed that the visit provided him with significant reassurance about their potential relationship. “Zoe is such a strong woman — she’s been through a lot of things in her life — growing up in the South and experiencing prejudice,” he shared.
Ellis appreciated McGrady’s resilience and strength, believing they could support each other’s growth. “She showed up to every group date so strong, and I think that she has some traits and qualities that make a really good partner,” he commented, highlighting the connection he felt with her.
In addition to Zoe, Ellis also gave a rose to Litia Garr, who welcomed him into her family home in Wyoming. Litia had recently disclosed her Mormon background to Ellis, who admitted to feeling some apprehension about the visit. However, he found the gathering calming, stating, “her family was really accepting. I didn’t really know a lot about the Mormon faith, so I wasn’t really nervous going in.” He noted that their discussions focused more on familial connections than delving deeply into their religious practices.
As the season progresses, “The Bachelor” prepares to tackle some of the show’s more dramatic moments in the upcoming episode entitled “Women Tell All.”
New episodes of “The Bachelor” Season 29 are available on Mondays and can be streamed the following day on Hulu.
