Gresini Racing Reveals 2025 MotoGP Livery in Imola
On Saturday, Gresini Racing revealed the livery for its 2025 MotoGP contender during a special event held at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola. The Italian team showcased two Ducati GP24 motorcycles, which they will operate on a customer basis for the upcoming season.
Maintaining continuity, Gresini has decided to stick with the light blue-and-red color scheme that it first introduced in 2022 upon joining Ducati as a satellite team. The team’s decision reflects its commitment to a brand identity that resonates with fans and stakeholders alike.
Among those in attendance were five-time podium finisher Alex Marquez and MotoGP newcomer Fermin Aldeguer, alongside team principal Nadia Padovani. Marquez, who inked a new two-year contract with Gresini in July, is set to remain with the team until the end of the 2026 season. Aldeguer, having joined the team following Marc Marquez’s move to Ducati’s factory setup, is poised to bring fresh energy to the squad.
The previous season proved to be a remarkable one for Gresini, bolstered by the addition of Alex Marquez, who clinched three grand prix victories and finished third in the championship standings. The dynamic between the Marquez brothers saw them perform brilliantly, with Alex marking a career-best eighth in the riders’ standings. Gresini concluded the year strong, finishing third in the teams’ championship, outperforming rival Ducati teams, including VR46, as well as the factory squads of Aprilia and KTM.
Alex Marquez is now positioned as the team leader as Aldeguer steps up from Moto2 after three successful seasons in the intermediate class. The young rider will make his debut in March at the Thailand Grand Prix, entering the competition at just 19 years of age.
Reflecting on the past season, team boss Padovani expressed optimism about the upcoming year, stating, “We’re leaving behind a great 2024, and we embrace with great motivation a 2025 in which the expectations remain high. We have a team with plenty of experience, two very talented riders, and we’re eager to continue to surprise as we’ve done from 2022 until now.”
She further articulated her belief in both riders’ potential: “Fermin has just arrived, but he already found a place in our hearts, while I believe Alex can and must battle for the top five in each race weekend. We’re extremely happy with this new project and the bike has a special chrome touch everywhere. We’re ready!”
