Gresini Racing Unveils 2025 MotoGP Livery in Imola
Gresini Racing officially revealed its new livery for the 2025 MotoGP season at a launch event held at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola on Saturday. This announcement marked an important milestone for the Italian team as they prepare to compete with two Ducati GP24 bikes on a customer basis this year.
Retaining the light blue-and-red color scheme that debuted in 2022, Gresini Racing continues to build on its identity as a satellite team within the Ducati framework. The consistent branding reflects the team’s commitment to excellence as they strive to establish a strong presence in the MotoGP landscape.
Both five-time podium finisher Alex Marquez and MotoGP newcomer Fermin Aldeguer attended the presentation, accompanied by team owner Nadia Padovani. Alex Marquez recently extended his contract with Gresini for an additional two years, ensuring his place in the team until the conclusion of the 2026 season. Meanwhile, Aldeguer, who has transitioned to the top-tier class after impressive performances in Moto2, will fill the second seat in what is anticipated to be an exciting lineup.
The 2024 season proved to be remarkably successful for Gresini Racing. With Alex Marquez joining the team, they benefited from his experience, as he clinched three Grand Prix victories and finished third in the championship standings. His podium appearance at the Sachsenring alongside his brother Marc showcased the collaborative potential of the Marquez siblings, elevating Gresini to third place in the teams’ championship, surpassing other notable squads such as VR46 and factory teams from Aprilia and KTM.
As Gresini heads into the 2025 season, Alex Marquez is set to take on a leadership role within the team, guiding Aldeguer through his debut MotoGP experience after three successful seasons in Moto2. The young rider is set to make his first appearance in the series at the Thailand Grand Prix, ready to make an impact at just 19 years of age.
“We’re leaving behind a great 2024, and we embrace with great motivation a 2025 in which the expectations remain high,” team principal Padovani remarked. “We have a team with plenty of experience, two very talented riders, and we’re eager to continue to surprise as we’ve done from 2022 until now.”
Reflecting on the upcoming season, Padovani expressed confidence in Aldeguer’s adaptability to the team and the high standards expected from Marquez. “Fermin has just arrived, but he already found a place in our hearts, while I believe Alex can and must battle for the top five in each race weekend,” she added.
With the new livery featuring a distinctive chrome accent, Gresini Racing is poised for a dynamic season ahead, keen to build upon their previous successes and continue evolving in the competitive environment of MotoGP.
