Finish this whimsical quest easily.
After locating Alice and rescuing the animals from the Queen’s Maze, you are ready to tackle the Leaving Wonderland quest. This final task involves cleaning up after the fleeing animals before you return to the Valley.
Below is a detailed guide on how to complete Leaving Wonderland in Disney Dreamlight Valley, including every crucial step and character interaction.
How to Complete Leaving Wonderland Quest
Leaving Wonderland kicks off right after the Teeny, Tiny Problems quest, concluding the introductory storyline of the Wonderland Whimsy update in DDV.
Begin by talking to Alice to obtain a Pot of Red Paint. The primary objective of this quest is to spruce up the Queen’s Maze, starting with painting the rose trees red.
There are five rose trees scattered throughout the immediate garden area. Equip the watering can by applying the red paint from your inventory and proceed to water each of these trees to transform them into vibrant red.
Next, you need to fill in seven burrows using your shovel. These burrows can be located in the center of the playing cards within the garden—simply interact with them to fill them in.
After completing that task, return to the table where you previously found keys during the Teeny, Tiny Problems quest to collect the seven broken plates that are strewn around the table.
Once you’ve gathered the plates, head back to Alice and invite her to join you in Dreamlight Valley. She will consent, curious about how to return with you.
Use the bouncy mushroom near the table to navigate back to the forest. Move straight from the mushroom for a while, then take a right turn towards the singing flowers. Proceed along the path to the left and dash past the pencil bird to reach the exit mushroom.
Alice will then dart off to the Cheshire Cat’s tree. Follow her and listen closely as Cheshire will provide hints for the next part of the quest, which involves glowing mushrooms.
Head back to the entrance with Alice. You will need to activate the mushrooms in a specific sequence to locate the exit. The required mushrooms to illuminate are the purple mushroom and the blue mushroom. Once activated, the door back home will appear, though it will remain small.
Alice will present you with the remainder of the Contrary Perfume, advising you to apply it to the door. Use your watering can to spray the door and converse with Alice before departing.
The next step involves selecting a location for Alice’s house, officially welcoming her to the neighborhood. The cost for building her dwelling amounts to 5,000 Star Coins.
After this, engage in conversation with Alice regarding Cheshire. Then, reenter the Wonderland Realm and retrace your steps back to Cheshire’s tree.
Upon meeting with Cheshire to invite him to the Valley, he will ask you to close your eyes. When you open them, he will have vanished, leaving behind a trail of bright pink paw prints leading away from the tree.
Trace the paw prints along the path to the right until they end, then turn right again and continue until you arrive at the first pond. Make another right turn and follow the path back to the Valley.
From this point, exit the Dream Castle and locate Alice. Note that we encountered an issue where Alice did not provide the final quest dialogue and kept inquiring about our return to the Realm to find Cheshire. Fast-traveling back to the Realm, going over our steps once again, and returning to her resolved this problem.
When you speak to Alice after following the pawprint trail, she will inform you that Cheshire is now exploring the Valley at his leisure. This will complete the quest immediately.
