Haim has officially unveiled details about their upcoming album, I Quit, set for release on June 20 through Columbia Records. This album marks their first release since 2020’s Women in Music Pt. III and was produced collaboratively by Danielle Haim and Rostam Batmanglij. Accompanying this announcement is the release of their new single, “Down to Be Wrong,” which adds to their growing catalog of singles for 2025, alongside previous tracks “Relationships” and “Everybody’s Trying to Figure Me Out.” The music video for this single has also been released.
Celebrated director Paul Thomas Anderson, a longtime family friend, contributed to the album’s visual elements, capturing its artwork. Anderson has previously collaborated with the band on music videos for tracks like “Man From the Magazine” and “Summer Girl,” as well as featuring Alana Haim in his films Licorice Pizza and One Battle After Another. He also created the cover artwork for their previous album, Women in Music Pt. III.
A recent video that introduced this album featured a series of personal declarations beginning with “I quit what does not serve me.” The statements highlighted various aspects of modern life, including “overthinking,” “nicotine,” “shame,” “dick,” and even “my job,” reflecting a theme of shedding toxic influences. Prior to the announcement of I Quit, the last release from Haim was “Home,” which was part of Barbie the Album.
