He has joined forces with his wife, Geeta Basra, who is a former actress, to co-found a production company named Purple Rose Entertainment. Harbhajan and Geeta’s love story began in London, where the cricketer became captivated by Geeta while watching a music video for her movie, The Train. After an eight-year courtship, they tied the knot on October 29, 2015, in Jalandhar, Punjab. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Hinaya Heer Plaha, on July 27, 2016, followed by a son, Jovan Veer Singh Plaha, on July 10, 2021.

Geeta Basra has been well-known in Bollywood, with notable roles in films like The Train and Dil Diya Hai. Following her marriage, she chose to prioritize her family life, mostly staying away from the limelight and supporting her husband.
