The development of a second season of “Ahsoka” began in January, following the conclusion of its first season in October 2023. The series is set several decades before “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and features Rosario Dawson as the titular character, Ahsoka Tano. In addition to Dawson, the series brings back familiar figures from “The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars: Rebels,” including Hera Syndulla, portrayed by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and the droid Huyang, voiced by David Tennant.
Christensen first returned to the role of Anakin Skywalker in the Disney+ miniseries “Obi-Wan Kenobi” before stepping into “Ahsoka.” He previously shared how appealing it was to showcase a different side of Anakin during “Kenobi,” reflecting on the character’s intimidating presence while also acknowledging the layered brutality that comes with it. “He’s always been a very intimidating character, but there’s a sort of brutality that’s present now. And I think it’s great. You know, some terrifying stuff!” he remarked in an interview with TheWrap in October 2022.
