Ranvir Shorey Recalls His Father’s Sacrifice, While Vinay Pathak Reflects on Financial Struggles

In a recent vlog, Archana Puran Singh engaged in heartfelt discussions with actors Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak about their journeys and challenges in the entertainment industry.

Archana Puran Singh took viewers on a nostalgic trip through her YouTube channel, sharing a day filled with memories alongside friends Ranvir Shorey, Vinay Pathak, and her husband Parmeet Sethi. The group visited notable places in Mumbai, such as Juhu Beach and Prithvi Café, while reminiscing about their early days of struggle in the film industry.

During an engaging conversation, Archana inquired about their respective experiences in navigating tough times. Ranvir recounted a poignant moment from his past, revealing that his father sold their family home to finance a film project, resulting in them becoming homeless. Despite the challenging circumstances, he noted that material needs were never severely impacted. “We never reached a point where food was a concern. Even while living in a rented place, hum bhade pe reh kar bhi mutton hi kha rahe the (we still enjoyed mutton),” he shared.

Vinay Pathak also chimed in, reflecting on his financial struggles, admitting that while there were difficult periods, they always found a way to get by. “There were moments of financial strain, but we never went days without food. There was always something to eat,” he recounted.

On the professional front, Vinay Pathak recently appeared in the film “Aliya Basu Gayab Hai,” alongside Raima Sen and Salim Diwan. He also featured in the Disney+ Hotstar series “Life Hill Gayi,” with co-stars Divyenndu, Kusha Kapila, and Mukti Mohan. Meanwhile, Ranvir Shorey was seen in the web series “Shekhar Home,” which includes performances from Kay Kay Menon, Kriti Kulhari, Rasika Dugal, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, currently available on JioCinema.

Archana Puran Singh herself was previously featured in “Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video,” starring Triptii Dimri and Rajkummar Rao. She is slated to appear in “The Great India Kapil Show,” a comedy program hosted by Kapil Sharma set to debut on Netflix later this year.
