Inside Heather Rae El Moussa’s Family Travel Tips and Upcoming Show
While viewers may recognize Heather Rae El Moussa from her glamorous lifestyle showcased in Netflix’s Selling Sunset, her reality looks much different as she balances the demands of family life. Recently, Heather, who now co-hosts HGTV’s The Flipping El Moussas with her husband Tarek El Moussa, welcomed their son Tristan in early 2023. Combining family travel logistics with the needs of three children, including Tarek’s two kids from his previous marriage, Heather offers her top tips for stress-free travel. “Stay organized! Especially when you have different ages. Bringing snacks, bringing water, and taking little breaks when you need to,” she shared in a recent interview. Heather admits to being a planner at heart, emphasizing the importance of preparation, particularly when traveling with a baby to avoid unexpected chaos.
The El Moussa family focuses on convenience during their travels, with Tarek echoing the sentiment for a stress-free experience. Recently, they enjoyed a staycation in Anaheim while partnering with Visit Anaheim at the Westin Anaheim Resort. Conveniently situated near Disneyland, they were able to maximize their time at the theme park with the help of a private tour guide, allowing them to skip long lines. Tarek highlighted, “When you’re traveling with a group, you need to make things easy,” noting that their use of a tour guide enabled them to accomplish a day’s worth of rides in just one visit.
Exploring the nuances of luxury travel, Heather explains that her perspective shifts depending on her travel companions. “When we travel alone, luxury looks very different than when we travel with the kids,” she stated. With adults, luxury encompasses accommodations, dining experiences, and relaxation. Yet, with children, the focus is on ease and convenience, naming quality family time as a vital component of luxury. Their visits to Disneyland and Anaheim Ducks games were enjoyable family activities, but the couple has plans for romantic getaways as well, emphasizing the importance of couple time amidst family obligations.

Viewers can expect excitement and competitiveness, with Tarek noting that the unique dynamic will add to the show’s allure.
As Tarek explains, “It is a house flipping competition show, and in the end, the person with the highest return on investment is going to be the winner. It’s going to be a fun, exciting show, and we are all very competitive. I think viewers are going to be excited.”
The show includes a lineup of celebrity judges, further enhancing its appeal. Heather believes audiences will respond positively, as it blends humor, rivalry, and the unique perspectives of both families involved, creating a captivating experience for all viewers.
