If you’re playing Fortnite and need to find a jewelry case, you’re likely working on one of the game’s weekly challenges to gain significant XP. Scouring the expansive island, which is filled with points of interest and enemies, might seem daunting, but this guide aims to simplify the process for you.
In week seven of Fortnite‘s Chapter Six, season two, one of the tasks requires players to locate and search a jewelry case. Completing this challenge rewards you with 30,000 XP, which is integral for your seasonal progression. Unlike typical loot boxes containing weapons or armor, these jewelry cases provide Gold bars and, with a bit of luck, Dill Bits that can be exchanged for high-tier gear at Black Markets.
Whether your goal is to find every jewelry case on the island or just to finish the current quest, here’s how to successfully locate and search for a jewelry case in Fortnite.
Where to Find Jewelry Cases in Fortnite
You can spot jewelry cases within a Smash N’ Grab Jewelry Store. These establishments were introduced in the latest update and are consistently found at specific locations on the map, making them relatively easy to find each match.
In total, there are five Smash N’ Grab Jewelry Stores scattered throughout the island. Here are their locations:
- Whiffy Wharf
- Canyon Crossing
- Hopeful Heights
- Near Pumped Power
- Near Outlaw Oasis
If you encounter difficulty locating these stores, you can take advantage of the in-game quest tracker for precise positions. However, please note that this feature won’t be available if you’ve already completed the quest.
How to Search a Jewelry Case in Fortnite
Before diving into your looting adventure, be aware that the Smash N’ Grab Jewelry Stores are monitored by several NPCs. These characters will confront you as you attempt to enter the stores and loot the boxes inside. They are generally manageable foes, but it’s advisable to come prepared with some weaponry and armor for the confrontation.
Once you’ve disposed of the guards, make your way inside the store and look for the jewelry case. It should stand out clearly, characterized by its glass and wood exterior. When you identify a jewelry case, approach it and activate the “Rob Valuables” option to proceed with the search. Only one jewelry case needs to be searched to fulfill the weekly quest, but you’re likely to find several within each store.
If you’re eager to maximize your XP in Fortnite, aim to loot every jewelry case encountered on your explorations. Each search can yield up to 500 XP, and there’s also a chance of obtaining a Dill Bit, an uncommon currency from these jewelry cases that can be quite valuable.
