Halsey Discusses Upcoming For My Last Trick Tour and Engagement on The Tonight Show
Halsey recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote their upcoming tour, the For My Last Trick tour, which is set to begin in May.
During the interview, Halsey shared insights about what audiences can anticipate from the 32-date tour. “I really enjoy creating an extravagant performance,” they stated, explaining how fans may be caught off guard by the intensity of the show, particularly those who are familiar only with their radio hits. “The concert can be quite dynamic; I channel a lot of energy. It feels like I’m releasing pent-up emotions.”
The artist further conveyed that the tour would have a unique magic theme, with Halsey taking on the role of “a magician’s assistant.” “You can cut me in half, and I get to wear the cute outfits,” they playfully remarked.
Expressing a sense of eagerness to hit the road again, Halsey noted that this tour marks their first since the Love and Power tour in 2022. “Touring is something I cherish,” they told Fallon. “Honestly, it’s difficult to get me to stay put. I’ve been performing for so long, and after the pandemic, having a baby, and dealing with health issues, I found myself thinking, ‘Can I please get back out there?’”
In a different part of the conversation, Halsey opened up about their engagement to actor Avan Jogia, a milestone they shared on social media recently. The singer recounted how Jogia orchestrated a surprise trip to Barcelona to celebrate their anniversary before proposing while they were on a boat.
“I was feeling that a proposal might be in the cards that week,” Halsey reflected. “Yet, in that moment, we were both so relaxed, enjoying the sun, and simply having fun. It wasn’t the most glamorous setting, but when he asked me to come down to the floor of the boat, my heart raced. And then, he revealed the ring—it really took me by surprise!”
Halsey recalled that Jogia said, “What’s a little bit of marriage between friends?” to which they responded with a heartfelt, “Yeah, I’ll do a little bit of marriage with you.” They then added with a smile, “I would actually prefer to do a lot of it.”
The For My Last Trick tour is scheduled to start in May, featuring 32 performances extending into July. Halsey will be accompanied by various artists, including Del Water Gap, The Warning, Evanescence, Alvvays, Hope Tala, Sir Chloe, Royel Otis, Flowerovlove, Magdalena Bay, and Alemeda on select dates. Ticket presales will commence on Wednesday, February 19, at 10 a.m. local time, with the general sale kicking off on Friday, February 21, at 10 a.m. local time.
